Temporary Protected Status (TPS)

Temporary Protection Status, known as TPS, is a migration benefit granted to people from countries designated by the United States Government due to armed conflicts, political crises or natural disasters. TPS allows you to live and work legally in the country through a temporary Work Permit. It does not grant permanent status and must be renewed periodically, provided that the government authorizes the corresponding re-registration, complying with eligibility requirements and presentation of evidence to immigration authorities.
