U-Visa
The U-Visa is a migration status granted to direct or indirect victims of certain crimes committed in the United States who have cooperated with the authorities in the investigation or legal process. This benefit allows you to initially obtain a temporary work permit, followed by a legal status for four years and, subsequently, the possibility of applying for permanent residence, providing protection, stability and a legal path for victims and their eligible families.

Who can apply?
- Direct and indirect victims of a crime committed in the United States, who have helped in the investigation of the crime at any time (with the police, prosecutor’s office or court).
What do you need?
- Visa-U Certification signed by the police, prosecutor’s office and/or court.
- The necessary documentation and/or evidence will depend on the type of personal case of each individual.
