Adjusment of Status
The Adjustment of Status is the process that allows people to obtain permanent residence in the United States, without having to leave the country. This process is ideal for those who are in the US and comply with the eligibility requirements. During the process, you can apply for an Employment Permit (EAD) and, once approved, receive residency for 10 years, with the option of applying for citizenship five years later.
