Consular Process
The Consular Process is the procedure by which a citizen or legal resident of the United States applies for permanent residence for a family member. The case is handled before immigration agencies and concludes with an interview at an Embassy or Consulate of the United States outside the country. This process allows you to assess the beneficiary’s eligibility and, if approved, grant permanent residence to legally enter the United States.

Who can apply?
Citizens and/or legal residents of the United States, in favor of family members as permitted by law.
What do you need?
- Demonstrate a reliable family relationship.
- Evaluation of the beneficiary’s immigration and/or criminal history (admissibility requirement to migrate to the United States).
- Good moral character.
- Proof of petitioner’s income (sufficient income in accordance with the U.S. Poverty Guidelines).
- Medical examination.
- The necessary documentation and/or evidence will depend on the type of personal case of each individual.
